MIM 2016 Migration Solved

The Microsoft Product group has made it clear there will not be any extension for MIM 2016 End of Life, Extended support ends Jan 9, 2029 which means no more Support, Security patches, or Updates. Microsoft’s proposed replacement is Entra Identity Governance (IGA) which does not have feature parity with MIM and focused mostly on 1st party integration.

One of MIM’s key strengths was the ability to write complex custom REST/API/SOAP, .Net, and PowerShell code to accomplish workflows developed over years. This now leaves customers with legacy technical debts moving to a different platform with significant costs to recreate these existing workflows and business logic. Entra IGA uses Logic Apps which is a reinvestment and retraining leaving recreation of all those workflows.

Many customers have struggled with a migration path over the past few years and have not done anything yet, but the clock is ticking quickly now! Other IGA solutions typically take 6 to 12 months to get started reevaluating the business processes and conducting Proof of Concept for feasibility.

READI is a flexible Platform that is directory and vendor neutral, it enables customers to quickly and easily transition their existing REST/API/SOAP, .Net, and PowerShell code within weeks without changing the critical business processes. It is a SaaS solution which means no more server patching or downtime and a central repository for ALL your scripts to reside with version control, RBAC, and auditing.
